Then it hails

So sudden!

Rushing, gushing, flushing down a drain

Neither my bag nor my jacket are waterproof

I have forgotten the unpredictability of Melbourne's weather

Returning home, a container filled with rice, my phone placed hopefully inside

The following day the battery will not charge

A grain of rice, lodged firmly in the connection port.
